Pedro Munhoz hopes Marlon Moraes defeats Henry Cejudo to become the new bantamweight champion this weekend at UFC 238 to set-up a title fight for himself and ‘Magic’ in November.
Munhoz (18-3, 1NC) is unbeaten in his last three fights, most recently knocking out Cody Garbrandt at UFC 235 in March. The 32-year-old will fight Aljamain Sterling on the UFC 238 prelims, so he will need a win in that fight to warrant a shot at the winner of the bantamweight title fight between Cejudo and Moraes.
Talking to MMA Junkie, Munhoz expressed his interest in fighting for the belt at UFC on ESPN+ 21, which takes place in Sao Paulo, Brazil in November.
