It looked to be a bad night for the Brazilians at UFC 237 until Jessica Andrade slammed Rose Namajunas on her head to become the new UFC strawweight champion. With that, the list of medical suspensions for the event has been released by the Brazilian Athletic Commission.
Namajunas and co-main event loser Anderson Silva were among four fighters who face potential six month suspensions. Silva will need clearance on his right knee after injuring it in his TKO loss to Jared Cannonier. Meanwhile Laureano Staropoli faces an 180-day layoff following his main card win over Thiago Alves, as does Bethe Correia after her submission loss to Irene Aldana.
