Cris Cyborg didn’t have as big of a weight advantage over the weekend as many thought she would.
Cyborg weighed 160.5 pounds in her fight-night weight check Saturday night at UFC 232, per a document obtained from the California State Athletic Commission (CSAC). Amanda Nunes was 156 pounds, just 4.5 pounds less.
Nunes, the UFC women’s bantamweight champion, ended up beating Cyborg via 51-second knockout to win the UFC women’s featherweight title at The Forum in Inglewood, Calif. It was Cyborg’s first loss since 2005. Nunes, 30, has won eight straight and is the first female double champion in UFC history.
