Max Holloway put on the performance of his career at UFC 231, battering top contender Brian Ortega to retain his featherweight title at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Canada on Saturday.
Holloway teed off on ‘T-City’ until doctors were forced to intervene and stop the fight in between the fourth and fifth rounds, earning a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus for his efforts.
‘Blessed’ handed Ortega his first ever professional loss and, speaking to the media at the UFC 231 post-fight press conference, the Hawaiian fan favourite said he would like to move up in weight and become the first man to beat Khabib Nurmagomedov inside the Octagon.
