The New Yorker picked up a come-from-behind win at UFC 230 in front of a home crowd at Madison Square Garden, pulling off an armbar submission out of nowhere after being knocked down by Kurt Holobaugh in their UFC Fight Pass preliminary featherweight bout.
With a grin on his face, Burgos threw his legs up to capture Holobaugh’s limb before securing the submission at the 2:11 mark of round one. It was the fourth win in five UFC appearances for Burgos, who improved his overall pro record to 11-1.
Holobaugh falls to 0-2 in his second stint with the UFC and is winless in three total trips to the Octagon.
