Former UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman was one of two fighters to be issued a 90-day medical suspensions in the aftermath of UFC 230.
The New York State Athletic Commission released the event’s finalized medical suspension report to MMA Fighting on Tuesday.
Weidman suffered a third-round knockout loss to former Strikeforce champion Ronaldo Souza in co-main event of UFC 230. As a result of damage sustained in the contest, Weidman will be forced sit out a full 90 days before returning to active competition, per New York commission officials.
The only other fighters to receive a similar 90-day medical suspension was Ben Saunders, who sustained a first-round knockout loss to Lyman Good on the preliminary card.
