Two new bouts featuring Long Island, New York-based fighters have been added to UFC 230, with a lightweight matchup between Matt Frevola and Lando Vannata and bantamweights Brian Kelleher and UFC newcomer Domingo Pilarte filling out the promotion’s next foray into the Big Apple, Newsday reported this week.
Vannata has had an inconsistent run in the Ultimate Fighting Championship thus far, nearly defeating perennial top-five lightweight Tony Ferguson on short notice back in 2016 before submitting to a D’Arce choke in the second round.
