UFC strawweight contender Karolina Kowalkiewicz was one of 14 fighters to be issued extended medical suspensions in the aftermath of UFC 228.
The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation released the event’s finalized medical suspension report Tuesday, which was first reported by MMA Junkie.
Kowalkiewicz, a one-time strawweight title contender, suffered a brutal one-punch knockout loss to Jessica Andrade in the co-main event of UFC 228. As a result of the knockout, Kowalkiewicz will be forced sit out two months before returning to active competition, per Texas commission officials.
