Co-headlining UFC 227 was a flyweight title rematch between long-time 125-pound champion Demetrious Johnson and Olympic wrestling gold medalist Henry Cejudo. “Mighty Mouse” was looking to extend his successful title defenses to a total of 12, but it was Cejudo who got the job done this time around.
What was the high point of the fight?
As per usual in all of his performances, Johnson was moving fluidly on the feet, landing leg kicks at will at Cejudo. “The Messenger”, however, remained composed, as he made minor adjustments each round.
Despite eating a good number of hard leg kicks to his lead leg, Cejudo found his rhythm in the second round when he scored his first takedown.
