Renato Carneiro will face Calvin Kattar at UFC 223 in Brooklyn, N.Y., on April 7.
Promotion officials announced the featherweight pairing on Wednesday. UFC 223 takes place at the Barclays Center and is headlined by a lightweight title tilt between interim champion Tony Ferguson and Khabib Nurmagomedov. In the co-main event, Rose Namajunas defends the her strawweight crown in a rematch against Joanna Jedrzejczyk.
Carneiro began his promotional tenure with a trio of victories, including a split decision against Jeremy Stephens at UFC on Fox 24.
