UFC 220 was headlined by a championship bout in the heavyweight division. Stipe Miocic looked to break the UFC record of heavyweight title defenses, while Francis Ngannou looked to break out as a legitimate star and take the title.
Ngannou came out firing, but in the end, experience shined through, and Miocic grinded out a win as he wore on the explosive KO puncher for five rounds. It wasn’t the most fan-friendly affair, but the champion got the job done, dominated, and made history.
