Newly crowned UFC middleweight champion Georges St-Pierre highlighted a list of 13 fighters to receive extended medical suspensions in the aftermath of UFC 217.
The New York State Athletic Commission released the event’s medical suspension report on Wednesday to MMA Fighting.
Despite suffering multiple cuts and being badly bloodied, St-Pierre persevered to score a dramatic three-round submission over Michael Bisping in the night’s main event. The victory made St-Pierre — a former two-time UFC welterweight champion — one of only four men in UFC history to win titles in multiple weight classes.
