UFC 214 medical suspensions: Woodley out only seven days despite claiming labrum tear

Tyron Woodley was given a short medical suspension by the California State Athletic Commission (CSAC), but he might be out of action much longer than that.

The UFC welterweight champion, who defended his belt for the third time against Demian Maia in the UFC 214 co-main event last Saturday, is only required to sit out for seven days, the minimum — and mandatory — suspension per CSAC policy. The commission released the full list of medical suspensions to MMAFighting.com on Monday.

Woodley claimed he tore his labrum during the Maia fight in an interview on Monday’s The MMA Hour, but interestingly, the CSAC seemingly did not check his shoulder — nor did Woodley mention it — after the victory.
