UFC 212 medical suspensions: Two fighters potentially out six months

Johnny Eduardo and Jim Wallhead received long medical suspensions following Saturday night’s UFC 212 in Rio de Janeiro, the Brazilian MMA Athletic Commission announced on Monday.

Eduardo was issued a 180-day medical suspension following his first-round TKO loss to Matthew Lopez. Sources close to the fighter told MMA Fighting that Eduardo fractured his right foot in the first kick he threw, landing on Lopez's knee.

Wallhead, who was submitted by Luan Chagas in the second round of their welterweight bout, was also issued a six-month suspension pending a clearance by an ophthalmology.
