Charles Oliveira bitterly resisted moving up to lightweight, even as his weight misses at featherweight piled up.
But after his performance at UFC 210 on Saturday night, he might be wondering why he took so long to move up.
Oliveira (22-7, 1 NC) looked tremendous at Buffalo’s KeyBank Center, as he needed just 2:30 to submit former Bellator lightweight champion Will Brooks in the main-card opener via rear naked choke.
Brooks and Oliveira traded body kicks at the outset before Oliveira scored a takedown. Brooks worked to his feet, only to eat a knee to the body.
