Former UFC light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans’ (pictured) middleweight move will have to wait for another day. On Tuesday, just four days before showtime, UFC president Dana White announced Evans has been pulled from his UFC 205 fight with Tim Kennedy due to medical issues.
White confirmed Evans’ removal with ESPN.com’s Brett Okamoto.
Specifics surrounding Evans’ exit are a little murky, but it appears he’s healthy but there was an issue with his medical documentation.
The preliminary bout was scheduled to appear in the Fox Sports 1 portion of Saturday’s broadcast. The UFC has yet to report which UFC Fight Pass contest will get promoted in its place.
