UFC 203 fighter payouts for those athletes competing at the "Miocic vs. Overeem" pay-per-view (PPV) event last weekend (Sat., Sept. 10, 2016) from inside Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, were released earlier today by Ohio Athletic Commission (OAC).
And this probably won't sit well with fighters unhappy about the UFC pay scale.
Mixed martial arts (MMA) rookie CM Punk, making his combat sports debut at UFC 203, banked a flat fee of $500,000 in defeat to Mickey Gall, who claimed just $30,000 despite the lopsided submission victory. Punk finished third overall behind UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic ($600,000) and felled opponent Alistair Overeem ($800,000).
