The UFC 202 public weigh-in carried the same feel of warring factions as the rest of the fight week events involving Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor.
The majority of the few thousand fans who showed up at the MGM Grand’s Marquee Ballroom for the proceedings ahead of tomorrow night’s pay-per-view were decked out in Irish flags or McGregor merchandise. A smaller contingent sported Diaz garb like Stockton, Calif., shirts and black flags, but they were no less rambunctious and pugnacious.
A few minor altercations broke out during the wait for the headliners, and McGregor didn’t ease the tensions with his final comments after completing the staredown photo with Diaz.
