The Nevada Athletic Commission has released the disclosed salaries for all of the contestants who competed in Saturday’s “UFC 202: Diaz vs. McGregor II” event.
Just in case you didn’t know before, it’s great to be king. UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor (pictured) made a UFC-record $3 million in disclosed salary for merely stepping into the octagon against Nate Diaz. McGregor didn’t receive a win bonus for his controversial majority decision victory.
Diaz, meanwhile, pocketed a hefty $2 million payday for granting the UFC’s golden boy a rematch.
Former UFC light heavyweight top contender Anthony Johnson got the best bang for his buck, scoring $270,000, with half coming via win bonus, for knocking out Glover Teixeira in merely 13 seconds.
