Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) featherweight champion Conor McGregor was called in front of Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) on Monday (Oct. 10, 2016) to answer for his role in the spring water wars of 2016, which also included fellow UFC 202 headliner Nate Diaz.

Since his behavior was able to improve pay-per-view buys unbecoming of a professional athlete, according to the imaginary bylaws of the combat sports universe, McGregor was facing a possible fine and suspension for his press conference shenanigans.
"Notorious" -- represented by legal counsel but live via telephone -- was able to avoid any time away from the fight game, but was fined a whopping $150,000, which amounts to five percent of his $3 million purse from UFC 202, and forced to perform 50 hours of community service.
