Flyweight up-and-comer Ryan Benoit headlined a list of 13 fighters to receive extended medical suspensions in the aftermath of UFC 201, the Georgia Athletic and Entertainment Commission announced Monday.
Benoit, who fought and defeated Fredy Serrano via split decision on the night's pay-per-view opener, will be required to receive doctor's clearance on an undisclosed injury or sit on the sidelines for six months.
Aside from Benoit, no other fighter on the card received a suspension stretching longer than 45 days.
UFC 201 took place July 30, 2016 at the Philips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.
