LAS VEGAS -- Jim Miller was victorious at UFC 100 in 2009. He's now added a victory at UFC 200 to his resume.
The popular veteran lightweight from Sparta, N.J. made short work of former PRIDE lightweight champion Takaonori Gomi on Saturday, winning via TKO at 2:18 of the first round in the opening bout at T-Mobile Arena.
Miller (26-8, 1 NC) caught a Gomi kick, took him to the mat, got his back, and eventually worked into position to rain down punches from the back mount. Gomi took the punches uncontested until the bout was waved off.
