UFC 200: Amanda Nunes proud to carry torch as UFC's first openly-gay champion

For Amanda Nunes, winning the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women's Bantamweight title by viciously choking out Miesha Tate in the main event of UFC 200 last night (Sat., July 9, 2016) was the biggest moment of her mixed martial arts (MMA) career.

Still, during the post-fight presser (video replay here), "Lioness" was sharing the spotlight with another UFC fighter, Nina Ansaroff, her longtime girlfriend who she dubbed a future UFC champ. A testament to the unselfishness and humble attitude possessed by the Brazilian.

Not only did Amanda win her first-ever UFC title, in doing so she also became the promotion's first-ever openly-gay title holder.
