INGLEWOOD, Calif. -- Jessica Andrade remembered to bring her punching power with her on her trip down from bantamweight to strawweight.
The Brazilian buzzsaw's transition to 115 pounds was a memorable one on Saturday night, as she dominated former Invicta atomweight champ Jessica Penne for a round and a half before finally getting a standing TKO. The time of the stoppage at UFC 199 at the Forum was 2:56 of the second round.
Andrade set the tone early as she pressed forward and threw punches in bunches. Penne's main answer was to respond with front kicks, but Andrade caught on to that, too, and began catching the kicks before continuing her assault.
