Both Warlley Alves and Yancy Medeiros are facing potential 180-day suspensions following their bouts at UFC 198.
The Brazilian MMA Athletic Commission (CABMMA) recently released a full list of medical suspensions from this past Saturday’s event to Sherdog.com.
Alves suffered a potentially fractured orbital in his unanimous decision loss to Bryan Barberena in a featured welterweight bout and will be out up to six months unless he is cleared by a physician. Medeiros, meanwhile, absorbed a tremendous amount of punishment in a three-round defeat against Francisco Trinaldo at lightweight and must have a facial injury cleared or he will also be sidelined for a maximum period of six months.
