LAS VEGAS -- For the better part of two-plus rounds, Brian Ortega appeared to be trapped in a submission specialist's nightmare.
Ortega was fighting a heavy-handed striker in Diego Brandao, one who wasn't going to stay on the ground with him if he has any say in the matter.
But when that opening finally came, boy, did Ortega take advantage at UFC 195. The Los Angeles-based fighter nicknamed "T-City" for his triangle chokes used his favorite finisher to get the tap at the 1:37 mark of the third round in their featherweight fight at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
