Lawler and Condit earned “Fight of the Night” honors for their welterweight title clash at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday night. Despite being outlanded by a significant margin, Lawler landed enough meaningful offense to retain his belt via split decision in a back-and-forth slugfest.
Elsewhere, Stipe Miocic not only staked his claim to a heavyweight title shot with a 54-second knockout of Andrei Arlovski in the co-main event, but he garnered a $50,000 “Performance of the Night” bonus in the process.
