LAS VEGAS -- It took a little while, but Tecia Torres finally got around to demonstrating how she got her "Tiny Tornado" nickname.
The American Top Team fighter got off to a methodical start in her UFC 194 strawweight bout with Jocelyn Jones-Lybarger. But she heated up late in the second round and then poured it on in the third to earn a unanimous decision victory at the MGM Grand Garden arena.
The judges scores were 30-27 across the board in favor of Torres, who improved to 7-0.
The opening round was the sort of feeling-out performance that have become a bit of a trademark for Torres, who has had all seven of her official career fights go the distance.
