Five fighters could get long medical suspensions following UFC 190, the Brazilian MMA Athletic Commission (CABMMA) announced on Monday.
Claudia Gadelha and Jessica Aguilar, who battled for three rounds in the opening bout of Saturday’s main card in Rio de Janeiro, are sidelined 180 days pending left hand and nose x-rays, respectively. Patrick Cummins, who finished Rafael Cavalcante in the prelims, is also potentially sidelined six months with a broken nose.
Dileno Lopes and Reginaldo Vieira, who fought for the TUF Brazil 4 bantamweight crown, need clearance of nose injuries to return or will also be kept sidelined for 180 days.
