Strawweights Claudia Gadelha and Jessica Aguilar could be sidelined for six months due to injuries suffered in their three-round scrap at last weekend’s UFC 190.
The Brazilian MMA Athletic Commission (CABMMA) on Monday released its list of medical suspensions from the event, which took place Aug. 1 at HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro.
Gadelha, who earned a convincing unanimous decision after three rounds of strong striking and well-timed takedowns, was given a 180-day suspension but can return to action sooner if her left hand is cleared by X-ray.
