The Nevada Athletic Commission has released the official salaries for all of the contestants who competed in Saturday’s “UFC 189: Mendes vs. McGregor” event.
Conor McGregor (pictured) and Chad Mendes each received a flat $500,000 salary for merely stepping into the cage. However, the similarities end there.
In addition to leaving the octagon with the interim featherweight title, McGregor will also score a piece of the show’s rumored one million-plus pay-per-view buys. McGregor could pocket around $4 million when it’s all said and done.
Please keep in mind, the numbers that get reported to the athletic commissions are only of what’s required.
