On Saturday night, UFC 188: Velasquez vs. Werdum took place at the Arena Ciudad de México in Mexico City, Mexico and was headlined by a heavyweight world title unification bout between interim champ Fabricio Werdum and current champ Cain Velasquez. While on paper the main event seemed to be an otherwise weak card's crowning jewel, we were treated to a main card that featured some breakthrough performances and competitive fights.
