Patrick Cummins stepped into a difficult situation, agreeing to fight Daniel Cormier at UFC 170 on just 10 days notice when Rashad Evans had to drop out of the fight due to an injury. Cummins got an A for effort, but Cormier gave him a fairly rude welcome to the Octagon.

Cormier returns to the cage at UFC 187 on May 23, where he will face Anthony Johnson for the UFC light heavyweight champion recently stripped from former champion Jon Jones.
