Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder originally fought in December 2018 to a controversial draw that many felt the “Gypsy King” won. On their second contest just last February, Fury left no doubt and completely dominated Wilder en route to a 7th round knockout finish.
While a lot of fans may not be asking for a trilogy — at least immediately — after that definitive end to their last bout, a rematch clause is in their contracts and Wilder has decided to exercise his right to make it happen.
According to Bob Arum, they already have a target date and venue for the heavyweight trilogy: July 18, 2020, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
