A week after Tyson Fury (25-0, 18 KOs) had been deemed “medically unfit” to fight Wladimir Klitschko (64-4, 53 KOs), news has come out that Fury has tested positive for cocaine. ESPN’s Dan Rafael reported the story on Friday. According to Rafael, “Fury was notified that he failed a VADA-conducted test for cocaine in a random urine sample collected on Sept. 22.” This comes just days after UK media had reported Fury refused to take a UKAD (UK anti-doping) test.
This is the 2nd drug-testing controversy involving Fury in the space of a little over a month.
