MMA is a brutal, uncaring sport. When fighters lose, it’s often via violent means. For the first time in his career, Darren Till suffered a loss when he forced to tap out to a D’Arce choke after being brutalized by UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley for the better part of the second round in the UFC 228 headliner. But the sport has a strange way of being able to turn heartache into touching moments, and that’s what happened not long after the fight when Tyron Woodley’s mother met Till backstage.
In a very classy and heartwarming gesture, Woodley’s mother gave Till a big hug and offered some words of encouragement.
