UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodely (pictured) might have thought “entitled” Stephen Thompson didn’t deserve an immediate rematch following their highly controversial majority draw in November, instead targeting a scrap with Demian Maia who “deserved” the shot, but the UFC thought differently.
On Monday, Woodley announced on his “The Morning Wood” podcast that his next scrap will in fact be a sequel with Thompson at UFC 209.
“You need to be careful what you ask for,” Woodley said. “‘Wonderboy,’ you want it? Come get it.”
The 170-pounders put on quite a show inside Madison Square Garden in a thrilling back-and-forth battle.
