Tyron Woodley Successfully Defends Welterweight Crown to Cap Extraordinary UFC 228 Event

Tyron Woodley has been vocal about the lack of respect he’s been given over the years, even after he became the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s welterweight champion.

After Saturday night, “The Chosen One” might have finally silenced his critics. Woodley (19-3-1) took his time in the opening round of the main event of UFC 228, but he never allowed challenger Darren Till to mount any sort of offense. Woodley landed a few strikes in the first and spent most of his time in the clinch. But in the second, he made sure Till never got anything going.
