Two-division champion Amanda Nunes: ‘I know I have the capacity’ to win another world title

Early this week, two-division women’s champion Amanda Nunes broached the topic of retirement. According to the 30-year-old American Top Team fighter, she will likely hang it up after a potential fight against former women’s 135-pound champion Holly Holm, should it be finalized for UFC 237 in May.

Nunes did another interview with ESPN Brasil, where she stated that her own mother is also calling on her to finally retire, after nearly 11 years of professional competition.

”My mother woke up the other day and said, ‘Come here, can you retire now?’ And I said, ‘Mother, if I want to,” Nunes said.
