Josh Samman recently spoke about wanting to compete at UFC 205 as he tries to rebound from a tough loss to long time vet Tim Boetsch last July. When a follower suggested on twitter about a possible match against fellow middleweight Oluwale Bamgbose, it started a bit of a back and forth between them.
Bamgbose is a New York resident, and the two fighters seem to be in agreement about wanting to fight at the promotion's inaugural event in Madison Square Garden.
Samman also spoke about the match up and why he's interested in the contest.
‘Bamgbose says that record and strength of opponent count for nothing, and while we know that's not the case, he's right in the sense that when the cage doors shut, our previous performances in the prizefighting realm don't have any say in what happens that night,’ Samman told BloodyElbow.
