Alexandre Ramos’ latest run-in with the law got him arrested in Portugal.
The 28-year-old Brazilian fighter, who competed as a featherweight in the first edition of The Ultimate Fighter in 2012, losing to Hugo Viana in the preliminary bout, was arrested on April 22 in Portugal for international cocaine trafficking.
Ramos was arrested at the Francisco Sa Carneiro airport in Porto, Portugal. Ramos’ lawyer Fabiano Alves confirmed the news to MMA Fighting following an initial report by Combate.
According to his lawyer, police found drugs in a suitcase with a false bottom, but Ramos claims he had no idea he was carrying drugs.
