Longtime UFC middleweight Brad Tavares headlined a list of seven fighters to be issued potential six-month medical suspensions in the aftermath of The Ultimate Fighter 27 Finale. The Nevada Athletic Commission on Monday released the event’s finalized medical suspension report to MMA Fighting.
Tavares suffered a lopsided unanimous decision defeat to top prospect Israel Adesanya in the night’s main event. As a result of potential damage sustained in the contest, Tavares will be forced to seek doctor’s clearance on a potential nasal fracture or sit out 180 days before returning to active competition, per commission officials.
