It’s been a submission-filled night at The Ultimate Fighter 26 Finale in Las Vegas, Nevada. Three preliminary card bouts ended in first-round armbars, and the opening bout of the main card saw a rare submission pulled off in remarkably quick time.
Welsh bantamweight prospect Brett Johns was quickly taken down by Joe Soto, but just seconds later, Johns had a calf slicer on Soto, who tapped with exactly 30 seconds elapsed in the opening round. The only other fighter in UFC history to win by calf slicer is UFC 218’s Charles Oliveira, who submitted Eric Wisely back in January 2012.
