Barb Honchak had a tough loss Friday night and now it might be a bit before she’s able to return to the Octagon.
The former Invicta FC women’s flyweight champion is facing a six-month medical suspension from the Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC), per a document obtained Monday by MMA Fighting. Honchak might have broken her right hand in a split decision loss to Lauren Murphy at the TUF 26 Finale in Las Vegas. If an X-ray comes back positive, Honchak will be suspended from competition until May 31, 2018.
Honchak (10-3) made her return on The Ultimate Fighter this past season after three years away from the sport.
