At the beginning of April the UFC announced that The Ultimate Fighter 24 would be going down and the winner of the season would fight flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson. Zuffa brass scrapped those plans just over a week later and TUF 24 seemed to be on the outskirts of things. Well that is until this week.
The UFC announced on Tuesday’s edition of FOX Sports 1’s “UFC Tonight” that the organization would be picking flyweight champions from other promotions around the world.
16 flyweight fighters will compete in the season, which will begin filming later this summer and will be coached by former 125-pound title challengers Joseph Benavidez and Henry Cejudo.
