Frankie Edgar was the big winner at Friday's night TUF 22 Finale, and in more ways than one. Edgar more than tripled the event's next closest earner, scoring a $360,000 payday for his first-round knockout of Chad Mendes according to information released to MMA Fighting by the Nevada Athletic Commission.
Despite not being known for his one-punch knockout power, Edgar floored Mendes with a sensational left hook less than three minutes into the pair's featherweight main event.
Mendes took home $82,000 in his losing effort, a steep decline from the $500,000 show purse he pocketed in July for his UFC 189 fight against Conor McGregor.
