When Eddie Gordon lost to the much larger Antonio Carlos Junior in June, the TUF 19 winner had announced plans to move to welterweight for his next fight. At the time of the announcement, it was assumed that Gordon would be given another chance inside the Octagon. Unfortunately for Long Island's "Truck" Gordon, the UFC has released him instead. Gordon confirmed the news on his Facebook page:

Gordon (7-4) won season 19 of The Ultimate Fighter with a 1st round KO over the (also released) Dhiego Lima, but that ended up being his only UFC win over 4 fights.
