I remember 1996 as the year I fell head-over-heels in love with professional wrestling. WrestleMania IX was the first pay per view I ever say LIVE, but “In Your House 6: Rage in the Cage” was the first event I ever sought out myself. From that point forward I was hooked, and—with the help of my parents—saw every single WWE pay per view until around 2001. That’s about the time I entered high school and put wrestling in the rearview—for a while. Nowadays “In Your House” is a mere memory—a Sports Entertainment Spark that begat dozens of long-lasting annuals such Unforgiven, No Way Out, Armageddon, and others.
