Just over two months after ESPN landed UFC television and streaming rights for the next five years, the “Worldwide Leader in Sports” has now inked a new agreement with Top Rank Boxing.
Both parties announced on Thursday that ESPN will be the exclusive home for Top Rank for the next seven years. A specific monetary value was not revealed, but it’s extremely unlikely it’s more valuable than the five-year, $1.5 billion contract for UFC programming.
After a falling out with HBO, who’ve significantly reduced their boxing budget over the years, Top Rank signed on with ESPN in 2017 on an original four-year deal, but now they’ll have an even bigger presence across television and streaming platforms through 2015.
