Erin Blanchfield is making the leap to the UFC.
MMA Fighting confirmed with sources with knowledge of the change that Blanchfield, 21, is stepping in on short-notice to fight Norma Dumont in a bantamweight bout at the UFC’s April 10 event. Blanchfield replaces Bea Malecki, who was forced to withdraw for undisclosed reasons. ESPN was first to report the booking.
Blanchfield, 21, has compiled a 6-1 record competing at 125 pounds for Invicta FC and Cage Fury Fighting Championship since making her pro debut in 2018. She has won her past three fights, including a highlight-reel head kick KO of Victoria Leonardo in February of last year.
